  • Pixie Woods opens for weekends in May and June, Thursdays to Sundays in June and July, and weekends in August to October of each year and closes with a special Halloween-themed day in October. Hours and dates of operation vary based on the time of year and weather.   • Pixie Woods is a children's fairytale land for the "young in age and the young at heart". In addition to themed areas with play equipment, slides, etc., there is the Pixie Express Train which passes Frontier Town and travels around the lagoon area. There is also the Pixie Queen paddle wheel boat that tours the lagoon area. The "serpent" spray park is loads of fun on those hot days; it is located near the Yum-Yum House concession/picnic area. The vintage carousel offers round and round fun on a favorite horse. Reservations can be made for a birthday celebration at the Alice in Wonderland area which is adjacent to Toadstool Theater which features puppet shows.

  • Pixie Woods offer hours of fun for field trip activities. Please refer our School Field Trip section for detailed information.
  • Group rentals are available for times other than normal hours of operation. Cost of rental includes two staff members; one to operate the carousel and one to operate the train and boat. Catering can be provided or outside caters may be used. Outside bands are allowed in specific areas. No alcohol is allowed at the event. Please call the Community Services Recreation Department at (209) 937-8206 for rental costs.
  • Pixie Woods membership entitles a family to unlimited free admission (up to 6 family members), ride discounts, 15 minutes early entry to the park and special monthly announcements and notifications of upcoming Pixie Woods events.
  • The Family Membership cost is $58. After August 1, memberships will be $30.
  • The Membership is good for the current season, which runs from beginning of May to End of October.
  • Memberships are non-transferable. Members must show valid ID and have a current membership card at the time of entrance. One card per membership.
  • To prevent misuse of membership cards, the named adult card holder should present photo ID upon entering the Park. As a city-run organization, the park relys on membership dues for much of its maintenance cost. This policy also protects members should their cards be lost or stolen.
  • Snacks are allowed in the Park. However, group picnics which require cool boxes, tables, and containers are not allowed inside the parks. For your convenience, a specific picnic area is located near the parking lot outside the park entrance.
  • No. For health and safety reasons, pets (except guide and assistance dogs for visually impaired and reduced mobility Guests) are not allowed in the Park.
  • There is free parking in the guest parking lot outside the Park entrance.
